‘Lifework: Norman Parkinson Century of Style’ at the National Theatre till 27th May 2013. A must see…..his work has been featured in Vogue and Harpers Bazaar, born in London in 1913 he started life as a photographer as an apprentice to the court photographers, Speaight & Sons Ltd.
Parkinson revolutionised the world of British fashion photography in the 40’s by bringing his models from the rigid studio environment into a far more dynamic outdoor setting.
His work is inspirational……xx
